He had been having daily audiences with Auster, the Roman form of Notus, requesting permission to continue their voyage. Auster was fickle, lazy, and unhelpful. But something was happening inside Jason, too. He was realizing he didn't belong at formal, traditional Camp Jupiter. He missed Camp Half-Blood.

He is the wind of late summer and early autumn, bringing the sirocco's blast: hot, heavy with moisture, wrapping the land in mist before unleashing devastating storms. Farmers feared him as a destroyer of crops. Sailors knew his gusts could shred their sails. Unlike his brothers Boreas and Zephyrus, who inspired grand myths and worship, Notus remained more elemental—less a character, more a force.

Children of Notus are energetic, hot-headed, and intense. You feel things deeply and react quickly. Unlike your Boread cousins who are cold and distant, you close the distance instantly. You are unpredictable—one moment a warm, lazy breeze, the next a scorching gale. You are fiercely independent and hate being contained or cooled down. You bring the heat to any party or fight.
