Theatrical masks hang on the walls, some laughing, some weeping, because Dionysus rules both joy and sorrow. His throne in Olympus is made of vines; his cabin at camp follows the same pattern.

They call him the Twice-Born, and the name is literal. Dionysus's mother Semele was a mortal princess of Thebes, beloved by Zeus. When Hera discovered the affair, she disguised herself as an old nurse and planted seeds of doubt: how could Semele be sure her lover was truly the king of gods? Semele made Zeus swear on the River Styx to grant her one wish, then demanded to see him in his true divine form. An oath on the Styx cannot be broken. Zeus appeared as living thunder and lightning, and Semele burned to ash.

But she was pregnant. Zeus snatched the unborn child from the flames and sewed him into his own thigh, carrying him until it was time to be born again. Dionysus emerged divine, the only Olympian with a mortal mother, forever marked by death and rebirth. Hera's hatred followed...

    Current head counselor and son of Dionysus. Twin brother of the late Castor, he carries the responsibility of leading the cabin alone. Known for his wine-making skills and deep connection to his father's domain of celebration and madness.

  • Castor

    Former co-head counselor who died tragically in the Battle of the Labyrinth. Twin brother of Pollux, he was known for his jovial nature and skill with vine growth. His death deeply affected both his brother and Mr. D.
